About Altrusa Columbus

The name Altrusa is a combination of "altruism" and "USA". Altrusa International, Inc. is a world-wide service association of business and professional people who want to perform valuable community service and enjoy the company of fellow members.

Working together in local clubs, members volunteer their energies and expertise in a wide variety of projects dedicated to community betterment.

Altrusa Columbus was chartered in 1918 to provide an opportunity for professional and executive women to perform community service while giving them the opportunity to build relationships with women of similar backgrounds who were working in a variety of industries and professions.
