To those who attended our fall fundraiser, Accent on Style, at the Wedgewood Country Club in Powell on October 22. Guests enjoyed a style show conducted by Wardrobe Therapy, a delicious meal at the country club and friendly bidding on items in our popular silent auction. At the luncheon, we also honored Pat Snyder, recipient of the 2011 Literacy Leadership Award given by the Altrusa Columbus Foundation.

Columbus Altrusa won several awards at the District Five Conference in Dayton.

The club earned the Mamie L. Bass Service Award for its Scioto Juvenile Correctional Facility Mentoring Program and the Washington Courthouse Membership Award for having the highest percentage increase of members in the club year 2010-2011.

As well, Linda Nusbaum was elected to serve as director on the district board and Claudia Speakman was invited to serve as membership chair for District Five.
